Customer Bathroom: Visit to Northampton
Northamptonshire blogger Lisa Scott, recently renovated her bathroom, using Easy Bathrooms products. In this blog, she fills us in on her experience...
Ever since we moved into our Victorian home in the depths of the Northamptonshire countryside we knew the bathroom was the first project on our hands. The house is one big project with the typical ‘more than we can handle’ moments. However, with a huge ex-bedroom to be playing with, the world was our oyster when it came to buy an Easy Bathrooms suite.
With the newly opened Northampton showroom on the Brackmills estate opening, we spent a Saturday afternoon in the store kindly showed round by Andrew and the team. We had already scoped out the website to decide the items that attracted us the most. It was great that the showroom had literally everything you wanted to see. It felt like everything in the catalogue was in the show room in some format.
There’s nothing worse than visiting showrooms or stores that only do one type of shower with the rest being in a brochure. How can you test out if you prefer a shower head, size or texture of shower tray with a brochure? Similarly, it’s great to get a perspective for actual size of the items by physically seeing them in store.
Easy Bathrooms allowed us to experience the suites with no pressure or pushy sales. Once we had decided on our package, we were guided on the ‘added extras’ such as shower screens, certain waste valves and all the little elements that help finish your items. There would have been nothing worse than getting our builder in to find we couldn’t install an item without one key item. The service allowed every detail to be found.
We also got to see a 3D design of our bathroom which was scarily accurate. It felt like we could see our physical bathroom with the new suite in which was really exciting and allowed the dream bathroom to finally feel possible. This was the first renovation project for us and it was nice to feel like it was possible.
So, fast forward to present day where our bathroom has been installed. We couldn’t be more pleased with every aspect of buying the bathroom. It was so stress-free when choosing everything. I’ve found clothes shopping more stressful!

The team provided the right amount of customer service throughout, no hounding of purchase, all follows ups were with the staff members we had previously met which meant a consistent service throughout. Even the delivery driver brought the items into the house which when you’re dealing with large heavy items, is a kind gesture.
As you can see from the before and after photos, we’ve drastically upgraded our bathroom from an old school, far from adequate bathroom to a high spec shower suite, light up mirror and sink unit with a modern touch. Even though we have a Victorian home, it’s been amazing adding the contemporary elements in the bathroom. Although the before picture looked a nice Victorian style, it was easily masking lots of bad plastering and we just couldn’t live without a big walk in shower.
Now roll on winter so we can make use of our amazing heated towel rail!
