Inspirational Customer Bathrooms: Yvette Craig

Take a peek into Yvette Craig's beautiful bathroom featuring a selection of Easy Bathrooms products & tiles. Yvette - a website & brand designer, is behind the instagram account @making_magnolia_home, which is a stunning home account that documents the transformation of her 1950’s bungalow into her dream home, which she describes as Hampton style.

Magnolia House, located in Kent, features Easy Bathrooms products & tiles across numerous bathrooms and the kitchen. We spoke to Yvette to get an insight into what her intentions and plans were for her main bathroom, which has been shortlisted for a @ufurnishcom home award. She described her aim as being high-end, luxury, striving for a hotel vibe. She wanted a soft and neutral aesthetic - white on white.

Yvette moved into Magnolia House in 2014 and had previously renovated her main bathroom once before. The main bathroom was quite limited when it came to the layout and she knew she wanted to keep her bath, so she planned around this. Yvette actually created her very own bathroom design, which she went on to discuss with our Easy Bathrooms Ashford Showroom, who then replicated the design in our award-winning CAD design software to ensure the design would work, checking measurements and fitting locations. Yvette’s bathroom renovation took three weeks and was completed by a local builder whom she sourced herself. We asked her why she chose to shop with Easy Bathrooms, “They had a local showroom to us, so it was super easy to pop in and see what we were looking at, rather than relying solely on the internet.”

For the main bathroom at Magnolia House, Yvette chose to use our Dune Marble Matt Porcelain 4D Tiles, which she has confessed to falling in love with, “I am very funny about tiles! I liked that the Dune tiles were simple with a matt finish - I liked them so much that they are also in the other bathroom we renovated, and we have enough left over to do a kitchen backsplash!”

This hotel-inspired bathroom also features the Lanka frameless shower enclosure paired with a Jade shower tray, a Lansdown double vanity unit by Tavistock, which can be sourced from Easy Bathrooms as well as a selection of beautiful LED mirrors. We finished by asking Yvette her final thoughts on the renovation, “I am so pleased with how the main bathroom turned out, a year on and it still looks lovely and new, it was a very good choice!”. She mentioned how pleased she was with her Easy Bathrooms products and the help she received from the Ashford showroom and our Social Media Strategist, Lee. She had this to say for anyone starting their own renovation project, “Really think hard about what you want, as changes to bathrooms can be expensive, think about the long term, and if your choices will stand the test of time.”
