'Meet' our head of retail in this quick-fire Q&A where we find out more about his role, his biggest achievement in work, his favourite bathroom trend of 2018 and his top advice for anyone renovating their bathroom...

Name: Neil Bell

Position: Head of retail

1.   How long have you worked at Easy Bathrooms? 

Almost a year and a half.

2.   Tell us a bit more about your day-to-day role? 

It’s my job to ensure that our stores — we have 17, and counting — are running smoothly. Whether that means helping sales staff to deliver a better service, monitoring/changing our displays so that they offer the best range of products or looking after employee welfare — it all comes down to me. My job is very varied!

3.   What’s the favourite part of your position? 

I’m motivated by helping my teams to grow and better themselves. Ultimately, this means that customers receive a better experience of Easy Bathrooms, and our sales peak because of it.

4.   Do you have a biggest achievement in work? 

It’s my role to help the company grow and open new stores — so I’m really proud when our sales soar. Since joining, our figures have improved every month, and I’ve been part of eight new showroom launches. This is the kind of thing that gets me out of bed in a morning!

5.   Your favourite bathroom trend of 2018?

Mixing different tile 'materials'. Combining replica styles such as wood and stone effect tiles with contrasting textures allows you to inject a little or a lot of personality into a room. View our range of tile effects here. 

6.   Describe your home style

Simple and homely.

7.   What advice would you give to someone renovating their bathroom?

Planning your space is imperative, but I’d also say that you should buy good quality materials and view a product in the flesh before you spend a penny.

I could think of a few, but maybe not any I should mention on here!

9.   When you’re not at work, what would we catch you doing?

Spending time with the family, or watching my beloved team Manchester United or local team Huddersfield Town play football.
