Meet The Team: Social Media Strategist
Ellie Jeffrey has recently joined the Easy Bathrooms team as the Social Media Strategist. Here we ask her some questions about her role and social media.
Where did you work prior to Easy Bathrooms?
I worked at Furniture And Choice in Mirfield as a PR & Social Assistant.
What do you love about social media?
I love the creativity that each platform encourages. I live for video content as I find that it's the most engaging.
What are your goals for Easy Bathroom's social media this year?
I am currently working on implementing a colour theme throughout the months to make the IG feed more aesthetically pleasing to customers, as well as creating more engaging video content including some of the team!
What are the social media trends you predict for next year?
I have 3 social media trend predictions.
- Video content will continue to grow and become the driving force behind most brands' social strategies.
- Pinterest ads will grow in popularity.
- Shopping will be made even easier on platforms such as Tik Tok with abilities to add links to video content.
Can you give us 5 tips for growing an Instagram account?
- Beautiful and eye-catching creative - This is the hook for most customers.
- Collaborations with complimentary brands - make use of their followers by creating content for both brands.
- Engage with your audience - reply to DM’s, comments and interact with tagged posts.
- Create interesting and engaging content that is relevant to the audience - keeping the content relevant to the target demographic can help boost follower engagement
- Content creator collabs.
Rank the social media platforms in order of your preference and tell us why:
- Pinterest - Our customers use the platform for inspiration at the start of their renovation journey, making it one of the best platforms for our lifestyle creative.
- Instagram - Because it is visual and creative. I think this is our customers' most used app. It is especially great for finding people to collab with as well as connecting with current customers in the tagged images section.
- Facebook - A great place for our Ads as well as an older demographic of customers.
- Tik Tok - This platform is great to hit a younger audience as well as engage with customers.
- LinkedIn - Fab for B2B, but it’s not as relevant for end customers.
- Twitter - This is actually my least favourite social media platform. Brands like Aldi have used their audience to go viral daily, however, for smaller brands, it can be difficult to join the conversation.
And finally, tell us something about yourself we wouldn't know!
Even though I am the world's worst driver, I passed my driving test on the first try with no minors!
